An affiliate of a major US pharmaceutical company are looking for a Project Statistician on a contract basis for 12 months. They conduct clinical trials in over 30 countries globally and have discovered breakthroughs in medicine for various mental diseases including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
They are a well-known international pharmaceutical organisation with manufacturing, clinical and R&D divisions across the world. This role is full time and office based and can be based at locations in the UK and Europe.
The project statistician will be involved in the development of statistical analysis plans within late phases of clinical trials (primarily phase 4). You will have an input into design studies and the development of statistical methods for analysis. Ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and guidelines is essential along with the ability to meet strict deadlines. Good communication skills are also necessary due to interaction with customers and internal departments.
A successful candidate will have:
· A minimum of an MSc in Medical Statistics, or the equivalent.
· A strong background working within industry, either in a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organisation (CRO).
· Experience in multiple statistical techniques/analysis with a good knowledge of regulatory standards.
· Experience of phase 4 clinical trials is desirable.
· Excellent communication skills at all levels
· SAS programming experience.
